Looks like MLS isn’t the only league in the world with a league-wide kit manufacturer.

USA 2012 AWAY KIT BY NIKE

All the shiny visual effects in the world can’t save this kit from its fail.

Dislike the collar on England’s; dislike the badge/jersey colour-contrasts on the Dutch kit; but both are still decent.

Anita Asante and Anouk Hoogendijk at Cyprus.
Did Holland get new kits too?  Right now, as they look in this photo, Dutch kit »> English kit.  Sorry, EngWNT.

Good commentary below on USMNT/USWNT visual identity. Some aesthetic consistency, please!
thethirdshift:

If this is the new away kit for the USMNT, it’s certainly less ugly than the red hoops on white rumored home kit, but the sash probably ought to be red instead of a darker blue. Also, if you’re gonna have white sleeves, cuff them — either with the neck design or with the main jersey color.
I do wish the USSF would tell Nike to cut it out — all three of the current USMNT unis are awesome. The only thing I would change is putting a red or blue sash on the home white kit for contrast, much like the blue kit has a white sash and the red kit a blue one. Maybe take this polo shirt and turn it into something more jersey-like.
Our soccer national teams need a consistent look and image for fans to get behind, and running out new kits every year doesn’t help (and don’t get me started on the silliness of separate aesthetic styles for the men’s and women’s teams.)
Nike did great work with the French kits but they seem to not know when to stop fucking with a good thing.

BRAZIL 2012-13 HOME & AWAY KITS BY NIKE

Inspired by the 1962 kits. Hmm….Is the “Brasil” text under the badge really necessary? (the original 1962 shirt didn’t have it)
